In addition, studies have shown that the bacteria associated with gingivitis may lead to preterm delivery and low birth-weight babies. Dental cleanings are very safe during pregnancy and can be scheduled at any time.
Yes, all of our images are taken digitally. Digital radiographs allow us to take high-quality, diagnostic images with 1/6th the radiation dose of traditional film. The result is an immediate image which can be easily saved, stored and printed. The process is also environmentally friendly as no chemicals are required to process any film.
Fluoride is a natural mineral which hardens tooth enamel, making it more resistant to tooth decay. WIth the exception of dental fluorosis (white spots on teeth caused by ingesting too much fluoride), no links between normal fluoride use and adverse health effects have been found. Used in recommended dosages, fluoride is completely safe for children and adults.
